With over 40 years experience in marine batteries we, at AR Peachment, are proud to introduce our exclusive range of Lead Carbon marine batteries, offering the very latest technology for today’s more demanding requirements. Forged from the requirements in the energy storage market, requiring daily charge and discharge, we offer our range of 12volt and 2volt batteries, which are the ultimate choice for the vigorous demands of the modern cruiser, hire boat, live aboard and commercial marine use. Also, with the evolving need for electric propulsion, our Lead Carbon batteries meet this challenge as the very best in Lead Acid technology.
Our Lead Carbon batteries combine Carbon and Graphene to the negative plates, offering the best from Lead Acid batteries and capacitors. This allows the battery to not only recharge quicker and more efficiently, but significantly prolongs battery life, at the same time as increasing the number of cycles (discharge and recharge).
Between the Lead and Carbon plates, 100% mild Gel Eletrolyte (Nano Gel) prevents positive plate corrosion, again extending battery life.
Key to the extra life of these Lead Carbon batteries is their ability to counteract the effects of Partial State Of Charge (PSOC). PSOC occurs when the battery is not fully charged on a regular basis. In marine, this means not being connected to shorepower very often for overnight charging. The effect of inadequate charging is the growth of sulphation, which is one of the biggest reasons for premature failure. Simply, the battery’s capacity diminishes slowly but surely, in many cases this is unrecoverable.
These Lead Carbon batteries have a design life of up to 15 years, and up to 3,000 cycles (at 50%) – whichever comes first. They are the ultimate solution.
